Attire
Uniforms attire standards for all students include those for the kitchen and service and classes:

What to bring and what not to bring:
Extras
Please bring with you black socks for men ; skin-coloured stockings for women ; plain black lace up shoes for men (Oxford style) and plain black low heeled shoes for women – these items can also be purchased in the first week of school, on the new students outing should the college requirements are not met.
Black V-necked pullover and winter coat
Woollen jumpers and/or jackets
Woollen scarf and hat/gloves/winter jacket/snow boots (these items can be purchased in Switzerland, but if you already have them you should bring them along.
Raincoat and umbrella
Pyjamas, night dresses; bath robe; slippers
Large cotton bag for the storage of dirty laundry
Hair dryer (220 Volts –round prongs/European connection
Calculator with memory
Pen and pencil case
English dictionary, your Mother Language/English dictionary, English/German dictionary
Football/Athletic shoes, shorts and tee shirts for the gym
The college encourages students to bring their country’s traditional costume and formal dress for special events or functions which take place every semester.
For Women-2 pairs of plain black leather shoes with small heels (remember you will have to walk in them in the service course. The shoes should have no patterns, bow, buckles, suede or Dr. Martins allowed. Skin-coloured stocking tights: Black Bows or hair bands for women with long hair;
For-Men 2 pairs of plain black lace up shoes (Oxford style)-no patterns, no suede, no Dr. Martins allowed.
Other items you may not have thought of:
Lap top computer- The College will purchase on your behalf a modern lap top with the most up to date Windows and Office software in English. This is because the college does not accept any pirated soft ware, which contravenes international laws. However, if the students have a lap top with proper licences in with English Windows Vista and Office 2007, it may be brought along, however if it does not pass inspection the student will be made to buy a new one through the college.
Alarm Clock, essential for waking up in time for lessons and meals
What not to bring:
For safety reasons you are not allowed to keep and/or use cooking appliances (Kettles, heating elements, rice cookers toasters, etc.) in the bedrooms. Kettles to boil water and microwave are available in the common room.
